Born in Cuba on the 17th of December 1954.<\/p>

He had no doubt about his future destiny as a musician.<\/strong><\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Following his instinct, he formalizes his learning in an unorthodox manner<\/strong>, at the same time as he gets ready for military service.
\nIn the course of three years he is soldier and musician at a time, between the two consecutive wars of Angola and Ethiopia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When he returns to Cuba after 5 years, he goes from apprentice to tuba soloist<\/strong> being a member of the General Staff Band<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He is still enlisted for 12 more years in the army in the military music unit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

He has dedicated himself to a musical career with two strong links between classical music and popular Cuban music<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Which takes him to the point of being able to participate on a regular basis for a number of years in a program called “Fiesta Guajira”<\/strong> on Radio Progreso<\/strong>, one of the two most important radio stations in the country with 60 years of existence, being part of the live programming.
\nSimultaneously he makes television appearances in a program called “Palma y Ca\u00f1as<\/strong>“, collaborating with the most famous components of Cuban peasant music<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

With members of the Buenas Vistas Social Club<\/strong> such as Ibrahim Ferrer<\/strong>, Compay Segundo<\/strong>, Rub\u00e9n Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> to name a few.<\/p>\n

He is a complete musician in the Cuban tradition<\/strong> playing tuba<\/strong>, euphonium<\/strong>, trombone<\/strong>, contrabass<\/strong> and bongo<\/strong>. He is also a vocalist.<\/p>\n

He began to travel out of Cuba with different formations and groups throughout the world. His experience is extensive, from Cuba<\/strong> to Angola<\/strong>, Ethiopia<\/strong>, Germany<\/strong>, Spain<\/strong> and through the United States<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
